My Agent, Julia Churchill

Julia joined A M Heath in 2013, taking over the Children's list from Sarah Molloy.

Julia is highly thought of, and very experienced, having spent six years at the Darley Anderson Agency, where she started the Children's List, and four years at the Greenhouse Agency, where she built up the UK side of the list.

Please get in touch with Julia if you are interested in the rights to any of my books, whether publishing, TV, film or audio rights. She's also the person to contact if you want to turn one of my books into a radio or stage play.

But if you're interested in arranging a day in school, or a workshop, please get in touch with me directly, as Julia is not involved in this side of my work

I've been with the A. M. Heath agency since I was 16.  My first agent was Osyth Leeston, who had the courage to take me onto her books when I was a completely unknown and untried teenager.

When she retired, I became the client of Michael Thomas, also at Heath's, and when he retired, I became Sarah Molloy's client. Now Sarah has retired, and I'm with Julia.

When The Ghost Drum won the Carnegie Medal, I suddenly had a lot of agents approaching me, and asking if I would like to be represented by them - but it would take a lot to persuade me to move from the agency which took me on before I'd had any success.
